One issue with game dev, the eternal struggle if you will, is the balance between asset creation, and programming. Many times you feel you need assets to implement a feature and other times you feel you need to have the programming to dump the asset into. It's times like these you just flip a coin and GET ON WITH IT.

After implementing a couple features in game relating to the service loop of a customer I decided it looked boring as hell. It needs the JUICE. And so, I decided to draw some juice. Beer that is. Then I drew wine. They looked fine, BUT LOOK AT THESE BORGOR.

A few of these burgz

Burgz are a staple of fast food. The pinnacle if you will. A juicy borgor stacked to the ceiling is the ultimate in the food genre known as the sandwich. Of course, stacking to the ceiling is unwieldy in a restaurant setting, so these fine specimens are a nice burg with leafy crunchy plant based toppings, a nice sandwich dripping with melted cheese, and a gorgeous double decker meat stack with cheese and bacon. The things dreams are made of.

Making appetizing food in pixel art is one of those things where it's unexpectedly difficult. You want to draw the food with mouth watering detail but at 32x32 pixels and 32 colours you can only do so much.

A flight of wings

A stack of fries

Wings and fries are some of the best pub food out there. Starchy sticks of potato are always welcome during a night of drinking, and a plate of spicy saucy chicken wings or two or five are a deal that can't be beat for value on wings night.

I'll be posting more art soon, or some juicy looking game play. Part of me wants to draw the girls, and design some more, while the other part of me wants to MAKE THE GODDAMN GAME.

See you space cowboy.
